Our Canadian Chum Salmon Caviar is an excellent addition to any recipe. Chum Salmon Caviar is very high on lean protein and Omega-3 fatty acids. The salmon produce delicate, soft-shelled, medium-sized (around 5mm) pea shaped grains (eggs). The grains are dark orange in colour and have a Medium, slightly sweet, delicately salted flavor with subtle undertones. Our Chum Salmon Caviar is free of flavor enhancers, colorings and preservatives (aside from salt). The dark orange grains stand out when added to egg and potato dishes, as well when uses as a garnish with cream-based seafood dishes. An amazing addition to grilled scallops or Halibut. Try Chum Salmon Caviar on its own –spread on bread rounds, mini blinis, or crackers, or to brighten up canapes and hors d’oeuvres at your next party.
This product is pasteurized and has a minimum 6-month shelf life. The ideal temperature to store this product is +2c-+4c. Please refer to our Tasting Notes section for further details.
