Classic Osetra Caviar by Kaluga Queen- the largest producer of caviar in the world- responsible for more than 30% of the global caviar production. Classic Ostera Sturgeon Caviar (species Acipenser Gueldenstaedtii) has a complex flavor profile consisting of aromatic- yet mild flavor with a creamy, distinct nutty (walnut), superlative finish. Akin to freshly-Baked bread, combined with a delicate brininess and peaty flavor; these eggs are average sized (2.5-3mm). Classic Osetra Caviar is lightly salted using the traditional Russian “Malossol” (little salt) method to sparingly preserve the flavor without overpowering the delicate balance of the eggs with added salt. Classic Osetra Caviar by Kaluga Queen is ideally served on its own with toast points, buttery croissants, or mini blini, and can be accompanied with a variety of traditional condiments as desired: crème fraiche, hard-boiled eggs, chives, capers, and shallots or red onions; or used carefully atop canapés and hors d’oeuvres.
