They otherwise have a silvery blue-green colour. Keta Salmon have been known to travel more than 3,000 km up the Yukon River to spawn. The female can lay up to 4,000 eggs. Keta Salmon mature by 5 years of age, and live for around 7 years. They weigh, on average, between 6 and 17 lbs.
